Freelance Softgoods Product Developer for Bolster Softgoods
My tasks as freelance Softgoods Product Developer at Bolster Softgoods is to collaborate with a soft robotics company to improve their product, mainly focussing on the soft-side. I divide my time in the phases of ‘analysis’, ‘conceptualizing’, and ‘developing’.
I set up various user studies, conducted interviews user’s homes, to dive into the user journey. This led to not only a redesign of the soft-side, but also the electronics and user-interaction.
To prototype and produce the design, collaboration with various factories in Europe and Asia are initiated. Sourcing foam- and fabric materials, finding suitable parties to collaborate with, modelling in CAD software are all part of my tasks.
The project is on-going and the NDA prevents me from presenting more details.
